iSeries Work Management is a self-paced, audio CD course providing comprehensive, practical training in iSeries site management from a work management point of view.

Upon completion you'll be able to:

  • Create and modify job queues that allow single or multiple batch job execution.

  • Create and modify output queues and other objects to ensure consistent and predictable locations of spool files.

  • Redirect job logs and program dumps to a single output queue.

  • Implement specialized subsystems such as QPGMR, QCMN, QSNADS, and QCTL.

  • Monitor system and user activity, storage pool, disk, and CPU utilization.

  • Change a job's execution priority and other attributes.

  • Code and implement a group job application.

  • Code and implement an attention key handling program.

  • Schedule a time-dependent job for execution.
